Graduation Requirements

In an effort to prepare all students for college, a minimum of 24 credits are required for graduation. Because of our block schedule (students earn a year’s worth of credit in one semester), this can be completed in as little as 3 years.

Senior Project Requirement: Higher Learning Portfolio

Content Area Requirements:
4 credits of Language Arts, including:
1 credit of American Literature
1 credit of World Literature
1 credit of Composition with an emphasis on writing research papers
1 credit of any other Language Arts course

4 credits of Math, including:
1 credit of Algebra I
1 credit of Geometry
1 credit of Algebra II / Trigonometry
1 credit of any other Math course

3 credits of Social Science, including:
1 credit of US History
1 credit of World Studies with an emphasis on acts of genocide around the world
1 credit of any other Social Science course

2 credits of Science, including:
1 credit of Biology/Life Science
1 credit of Chemistry

1 credit of World Language

1 credit of Health

The remaining 9 credits may be made up in any content or elective area
